Telling your story
A picture paints a thousand words. It's true!
This means we need to make good use of images, photographs and video footage. And, when you do use words, you need to do so in a way that helps people visualise a story. What is even more powerful than this is to use case studies and let your case studies tell the story for you. Good PR is all about getting third party endorsement – be it from a blogger, customer, journalist, celebrity, analyst or retailer. (But remember, if they don’t “get it” they can’t tell the story for you, can they?)
When you are telling these stories and putting these messages across, don’t hide it all in mumbo jumbo marketing speak. Use language and terminology that is really simple and current to make each word resonate at just the right pitch, speaking directly to your audience and not about it.
